OWN THE FIRE™ is a culinary experience brand founded by Mike Riddle, Executive Chef with over 20 years of professional kitchen experience. We offer:

• Custom Grills & Smokers: Handcrafted Santa Maria grills, Argentine-style builds, and custom smoker projects
• Artisan Knives: Premium handcrafted knives sourced from master artisans
• Gotham City Leather: Premium leather goods including knife rolls, chef backpacks, and accessories
• Fire & Steel Academy: Tiered educational membership program with exclusive culinary content
• Signature Gear & Apparel: Premium branded apparel and accessories

Eligibility

To use our website and services, you must:

• Minor variations in finish, color, or dimensions are inherent to handcrafted work and are not considered defects
• Custom builds are created to your specifications and may differ from display models

Pricing

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If an item's correct price is higher than the listed price, we will contact you before processing your order.

Availability

Products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to limit quantities and to discontinue any product at any time.

Orders and Payment

Placing Orders

By placing an order, you represent that:

• You will pay all charges, including applicable taxes and shipping fees

• Custom Builds: Processing times vary significantly based on project scope; detailed timeline provided during consultation

Fire & Steel Academy Membership

Subscription Tiers

Fire & Steel Academy offers tiered membership subscriptions:

• Foundation Tier ($10/month): Entry-level access to educational content
• Advanced Tier ($25/month): Enhanced content access and additional resources
• Elite Tier ($50/month): Complete access to all content, exclusive materials, and premium features

Subscription Terms

• Subscriptions are billed monthly on the anniversary of your sign-up date
• Your subscription automatically renews each month until cancelled
• You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
• No refunds are provided for partial months

Content Access

• Access to Fire & Steel Academy content is granted for the duration of your active subscription
• Content is for personal, non-commercial use only
• You may not share, distribute, or reproduce Academy content without written permission
• Some content may be added, modified, or removed at our discretion

Cancellation

To cancel your Fire & Steel Academy subscription:

• Log into your account and manage your subscription settings, or
• Contact us at info@ownthefire.com

Cancellation requests must be submitted before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the following month.

Custom Build Projects

Consultation Process

Custom grills, smokers, and other built-to-order projects require a consultation process:

• Initial inquiry and discovery call
• Design specifications and quote
• Deposit and production scheduling
• Build progress updates
• Final payment and delivery coordination

Deposits and Payment Schedule

• Custom builds require a deposit (typically 50%) to begin production
• Deposits are non-refundable once production begins
• Final payment is due before shipment or delivery
• Payment schedules for large projects may be customized

Specifications and Changes

• All custom work is built to agreed-upon specifications
• Change orders after production begins may result in additional charges and delays
• Major design changes after production begins may not be possible

Timeline

• Production timelines are estimates and may vary based on complexity and materials
• We will communicate any significant delays promptly
• Delays beyond our control (supplier issues, shipping disruptions) do not constitute breach of contract

Intellectual Property

Our Content

All content on ownthefire.com, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, videos, audio, software, and design elements, is the property of Own The Fire Culinary Group, LLC or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

Trademarks

OWN THE FIRE™, Fire & Steel Academy, Gotham City Leather, and associated logos and taglines are trademarks of Own The Fire Culinary Group, LLC. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.

Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use our website for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license does not include:

• Modifying or copying our content
• Using our content for commercial purposes
• Attempting to decompile or reverse engineer any software
• Removing any copyright or proprietary notices
• Creating derivative works based on our content

Fire & Steel Academy Content

Fire & Steel Academy educational content is provided for your personal learning. You may not:

• Share login credentials with others
• Record, copy, or redistribute Academy content
• Use Academy content for commercial purposes
• Post Academy content on social media or other platforms

User Content

If you submit content to us (reviews, testimonials, photos, comments), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content in connection with our business.

Limitation of Liability

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF OUR WEBSITE OR SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved as follows:

• Informal Resolution: You agree to first contact us at info@ownthefire.com to attempt to resolve any dispute informally.
• Mediation: If informal resolution is unsuccessful, the parties agree to attempt to resolve the dispute through mediation before pursuing other remedies.
• Jurisdiction: Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Nassau County, New York, and you consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.

Class Action Waiver

You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.
